Much of the project consisted of the development of different media forms, and gradual, iterative refinement of the work, to create the final publication. It is, therefore, an assembly of many different artistic media, combined with typography, that tells a story about the rise and fall of the Brutalist movement in Britain through the perspective of social housing, with text written by Mackenzie Marie Karp.
The book makes use of a variety of differing stocks and materials so that the reading experience changes and flows in parallel with the text. This, combined with the printed cover and greyboard slipcase, creates a concise publication, the design choices of which are a reflection of the traits that Brutalism itself possesses.
