NHS Wrapped was a social media campaign designed as a response to a brief by Leeds-based studio EDNA, in collaboration with Leeds Hospitals Charity. The campaign was aimed at raising awareness of the charity and developing an engaging campaign that would resonate with a select target audience in the city.
With this in mind, I found that a social media campaign would suit the target audience (students and postgraduates) best. I took inspiration and visual elements from existing campaigns such as Spotify Wrapped, thereby retaining a system that would resonate and be familiar with the target audience, yet at the same time, incorporating the visual identity of the NHS and Leeds Hospitals Charity within. The project’s outcome was a series of motion graphic animations, designed for social media use (these can be viewed on my website).
The process of fine-tuning the design elements of this project to resonate with multiple visual identities was an interesting challenge. And it was interesting to see how designing an outcome targeted at a specific audience both influenced and changed the design process as it evolved.
